For Charlotte area technology professionals
Join
Your skills. Your business. Our platform.
A local platform built around independent technology professionals. Set up your presence, reach the Opportunities you are eligible for, and choose the work you want.
Keep 100% of what you earn from your technical work.
Founding membership is currently complimentary. Regular professional membership is planned at $5 a month. No shifts, no assignments, no quotas, and no penalty for passing on something.
Five dollars. A whole platform behind you.
A flat membership pays for the platform, so nothing comes out of your work.
commission on your ordinary service work. A $100 service call and you keep the $100. A $1,000 project and you keep the $1,000. Tax, and your own payment processor, stay between you and them as always.
- FreeFounding membership. Nobody is being billed today, and we will tell you well before that changes.
- $5Per month, the planned regular professional membership.
- YoursOn project and specialist work you name what you want to receive, and that is the labour figure on the customer's quote.
Membership is access to the platform, not the purchase of a lead. Opportunity volume varies with customer demand and is never guaranteed.
What we built around you
The unglamorous half of working for yourself, already built and running.
- A professional profile Your name, your face, your specialties and the areas you cover, on a public professional profile customers can browse.
- Another way for local customers to find you The marketing, the intake and the local name on the sign, running while you are on a job, asleep, or with your family.
- Request intake, at any hour Somebody describes their problem in their own words at two in the morning, and it is captured properly rather than becoming a voicemail.
- Organized Opportunities A request becomes an organized Opportunity: what is happening, where it is, what we know about the scope, and the commercial details.
- Opportunities matched to your eligibility Your approved skills, service area, availability and any requirements that apply decide what reaches you. Whether you want it is still your call.
- Customers who ask for you by name Someone you helped can request you directly next time, and that request follows you.
Another earning lane is coming
We are building a website referral programme for professionals who introduce a business that becomes a LateNightFix website customer. They do not have to come from an Opportunity. The intended payment is up to $250 for a qualifying referral, on top of your service work rather than out of it.
It is not open yet, so nothing is claimable today. Final eligibility and payment terms will be published before it opens.
Your business stays yours
We operate the platform. You operate your business. We set access, eligibility and privacy rules. You decide whether to take an Opportunity and how your own technical work is done.
Keep your job
Full time, part time, shift work, whatever you already do. We do not ask who you work for.
Keep your own business and customers
If you already run a technology business you keep running it exactly as you do now. Your existing clients are yours.
No shifts and no quotas
No schedule, no attendance, no required number of Opportunities.
Open and Paused are yours
Go Paused for a week, a season, or a bad month. There is no penalty and you do not have to explain why.
Every Opportunity is a question, not an assignment.
Here is something that may fit what you do. Interested? You decide.
You build your own name through it
The profile is about you, not an anonymous marketplace listing. Your name, your real specialties, your areas, your languages and your own business are part of the reputation you build through the network.
Somebody you helped last winter can come back and ask for you specifically. Over time people find you through LateNightFix. A customer preference is a preference rather than a guaranteed assignment, but it is yours.
What we ask of you
Most of it is what you would do anyway. The full version lives in the Professional Standards and Network Agreement you accept when you join.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully, with customers and with us.
- Be honest about what you can do. Turning down work that is not for you is genuinely fine.
- Be honest about scope and price. No surprises on the invoice.
- Respect customer property, systems, credentials, data and privacy.
- Be honest about work that comes through the platform. Do not misrepresent an Opportunity, a request, a payment or an outcome.
- Never falsify qualifications, identity, insurance or licences, and do not take on regulated work you are not qualified or authorized to perform.
- If something goes wrong, tell us. Do not hide it.
What it takes to be ready
Before Opportunities can reach you, we verify the things that matter for the work you want to do.
- We read your introduction and work out together whether there is a fit.
- Identity and contact details confirmed, so a customer knows who is coming.
- Skills, service categories and areas approved, which is what decides the work you are shown.
- Professional Standards acknowledged and the Network Agreement accepted.
- A confidentiality confirmation that LateNightFix work will not use another employer's or client's time, equipment, credentials or confidential information. It is not exclusivity, and we do not approve or vet your other work.
Identity, background, insurance, licence and credential verification are completed where they apply to the work and the customer access involved. Requirements are set per category, and a category stays closed until the ones that apply are met.
Remote, onsite, or both
You choose how you take part, and the requirements follow that choice.
Remote only
Help people without entering their home or business. Core network requirements only, and no onsite general liability cover needed.
Onsite and remote
To reach Opportunities inside a customer's home or business there is an additional standard, intended to include verified general liability cover. The exact requirement is being finalised with professional advice.
Specialist and regulated categories need their own licences, credentials or insurance verified first, so you are never shown work you are not eligible to take.
Questions people actually ask
What does membership cost?
Nothing during the founding period. Regular membership is planned at $5 a month, and we will tell you well before any billing begins.
Does paying get me guaranteed work?
No. Membership is access to the platform and to eligible Opportunities as they come up. Opportunity volume depends on customer demand and is not guaranteed, and neither is income.
Does paying make me an approved professional?
No. Membership and eligibility are separate things. You still meet the requirements that apply to the work you want, and paying does not override any of them.
Can a customer ask for me specifically?
Yes, where your profile is listed and you are eligible for the work. A customer preference is a preference, not a guaranteed assignment.
Do I need insurance?
It depends on how you take part. Remote only and onsite have different requirements, and some specialist categories carry their own.
Can I earn from website referrals?
Not yet. We are building it, the intended payment is up to $250 for a qualifying referral including customers you find entirely outside the network, and the terms will be published before it opens.
Introduce yourself
A person reads every one of these. No scoring, no ranking, no trawling your social accounts. If there is a fit, we reach out.
